Yeah, I believe we have over 300 Ensigns in the A-Pool waiting to class up for API. (not exaggerated). I've been waiting since February, and was told I still have 6-7 more weeks to wait (for Whiting that is). So, enjoy the time home. I'd rather be stashed at home than here in P'Cola.

Are you sick or something??? You have to have your fingers grounded while doing push-ups. Push-ups at OCS is a technique....it takes some time to learn how to do them the OCS way. Forget the knuckle technique. Go to the OCS website for more information about the proper technique.

You can't prepare enough before arriving at OCS. As you probably already know, OCS is a big mental game. The physical aspect of that isn't hard at all, it's just mentally draining. For me, the first 4 weeks were very tough, then it started to loosen up a bit after 4th week RLP.

I switched from Hanes (tagless) to Jockey. Hanes just wasn't cutting the butter for me. Jockey will last you a lot longer, and looks 10 times better than the Hanes, in my opinion. Go with Jockey.

Ferry Pass isn't that bad of a place to live also. It's about 30 minutes from both NASP and Whiting. I currently live in Kings Mill Apts. Shopping, and everything else is VERY close. It seems that it is busy everywhere you go here in P'Cola. Davis Hwy is packed every morning, but again...

If most of you are going straight from OCS to API, don't worry about the requirements too much. The Out-PFA requirements for OCS are way higher than the in-PFA at API. If the requirements at API are good low, then you're all set, because I think the out-PFA requirements at OCS are excellent...
