That was the most intense football game I've ever seen. It should have been the Super Bowl.

Aww, come on. Everybody knows Cleveland's finally gonna win it all this year! Or more likely my hopes will just be crushed again halfway through the season . . .

For those that were here in the Pensacola area during last year's football season, who usually gets the local TV coverage here?? I didn't know if they like to show any one teams games over the others or not. Do they try to just play the most important games that day?? I'm hoping that they will play a fair amount of Titans games but there are a few teams that are closer.

Colts all the way baby!!!!!!!!!!

REminds me of a funny story.....I became a Colts fan by default (it's always fun trying to explain how you can be a die hard Cowboys fan but still watch the Colts) with my ex-fiance (he is a HUGE Colts fan). One day I was watching the Colts, and I hear the name XX (obviosly not his name) and I'm like "Hold On!!!" I call my mom, and sure enough it was this guy who I went on few dates with in high school. So I call my ex-fiance to tell him (he was on duty). Someone else answers the phone and I get him to call my ex (wasn't my ex at the time)...finally he gets on the phone and I tell him about who I went on a few dates with. And he tells the other duty guy on the bridge....big mistake. After that day, for a long time I wasn't known as "so-and so's girl/women" anymore...I was "The girl who made out with the professional football player XX!!"

What the?

Ok, whoever gave me negative repuation points for posting that I like the Cowboys, that is messed up. Come on, I was just saying who I liked...I didn't say anything against your team (the Giants). I was just saying that I've been a 'Boys fan through thick and thin.

Speaking of the Colts, does anyone remember that awesome game last October when they were playing Tampa (I think it was Tampa). I had to get my friends back to the ship (Cinderella Curfew) so all the way back to the ship we heard how the Colts sucked and how Tampa was soooooo good (they were winning when we left my house). Well, when we got back to their ship, the game was in OT. We got to see the Colts win....man, I felt sorry for that guy who was a Tampa fan. He heard it for weeks and weeks after that!

Georgia Bulldog? Ugh....anything but that. Eh, at least you didn't spell it Bulldawg like most of the residents of Athens.......

I'm just toolin' on you - nothin' but love. Sure, I take football seriously, but not that seriously. After all, I'm a Georgia Bulldog dating an Auburn Tiger. In some southern families, that's enough to get me disowned.

We should move this thread to the "War Zone" and have at it!
I've been oft excited, and oft disappointed, but there's always been a place in my heart for the Cowboys. That's three, I think.

I will ALWAYS have that Tampa game in my memory. It's funny because I still had faith in them that they could still come back. I was going absolutely NUTS when it OT, and even worse when they won. I couldn't believe it, but look who's quarterback... Manning, my man. (I know I'll hear some busted feedback about Manning, but I still think he's the man for the Colts. I'll admit it was very disappointing seeing them not make it to the SuperBowl though. I was really disappointed. They have an awesome chance for the upcoming season, and I can't wait!!!

D_mac05- The whole ship was gowing crazy...we were all down in the mess decks (don't ask why I was on a completely male ship at 2300 at night), yelling, and cheering. The poor guy from Tampa, he couldn't beleive that the Colts made a comeback from the time we left my apartment from the time we got on the ship LOL!!! But, I have to say, with the way the Colts played their last games, they didn't deserve to go to the Super-Bowl. They're an awesome team, but they forgot how to play that day.

Dunedan and Acoustix99- Be careful, you might get negative rep points for posting that you are Cowboys fan....Seriously, whoever did that, thats really, really lame. I really don't beleive that is what the rep points is intended for.

All I can say is:

"Unsportsman like conduct, number 98 (or whatever Simeon Rice's number is), 'leaping', X amount of yards, replay the kick"

I think America learned a new rule that night.

(P.S. I'm a Steelers fan, so I didn't care who won that game, I just thought it was funny that an obscure penalty kept Vanderjagt perfect for the year.)
