    Seat Cushion

Actually, and this is technique, you won't find this in NATOPS, if you drop a bomb in the flt station but immediately start walking back, pausing briefly (not breaking stride though) at the NAV/TACCO station, you can suck it along with you, leaving most of it there. If you're at NASNI and...

    Seat Cushion

we don't have a fancy cooling system like all y'all have (save phrogdriver). We don't even get a real refrigeration source, rather we use a "bootstrap" (which is techno-speak for "sh!tty") turbine assembly that uses expansion of ambient air to effect cooling. Works great in some planes, sucks...

Anymouse: What I would change about AW if I could....

man you don't know how many days of the week i walk into the squadron and get asked, "Did you get my memo/email/fax/note?" Along with, "Where the hell have you been?" And I always have no clue WTF they're talking about. My last boss was famous for it. Guess i'll vote yes.

    Phun?

OCS is very much easier I expect. As for SERE, i suspect not so much. It wasn't easy, and parts of it were not fun (you know which parts), but the overall experience was very good and I did enjoy learning all of it - even the not so pleasant parts. Maybe i'm weird that way. SERE is much...

    Phun?

OCS was "fun" once you got with the program and began to understand the game and it was only fun within the confines of that game. The constant immersion in the game causes a bit of Stockholm syndrome and you do begin, well some do anyhow, to enjoy it. You develop really tight bonds with...

Here in my Car, I feel safest of all

Still can't pack two dogs and all my ski gear in a GTO, then go drive through snow like it's nothing. Yeah, i'd love a muscle car, but the utility my WRX offers in addition to the fun that it is to drive makes it the best choice for me. I don't think they're really comparable directly. I'm...

and there in lies the difficult life of the JO. You can't slack off too much, or else you get great orders to a TSC (or you get hit by a "quality spread"). But if you work too hard, you get more work, which in turn generates more work, to get good orders which involve more work. Its a vicious...
