There's a guy at my church that says he's a Naval Aviator. But something about him doesn't jive. First of all he's really fat and secondly he's not that bright. I've talked to him about his naval career and what squadrons he's been with. He's worn his Khakis a few times and wears Aviator wings. Here's what he has claimed to have accomplished:
1) He graduated high school in 1996 and got his B.S. or (BFA) in photography from UCLA.
2) He was commissioned and left for flight school in P-cola right after graduation
3) He completed flight training in 1998 and was selected for F/A-18s
4) He went through F/A-18C flight training at VMFAT-101 and finished top of his class (also claims that 101 was a crappy squadron with no good instructors)
5) He went to VFA-25 to fly Hornets for two years.
6) Now he's a part time instructor pilot at VFA-125
7) Served as a Forward Air Controller during OIF 1
8) He's about 28 years old with the grade of LTJG going to LT in Sept
9) Says he has 2000 hours of flight time in the F/A-18C
(10) Works at Washington Mutual as a loan manager
Now I'm sure this guy is full of crap. What I'm trying to figure out is what doesn't fit. Would a 28 year old LTJG (would he still be an LTJG at 28) have 2000 of flight time? Would the Navy ask a pilot with two years of experience be an FRS instructor and a Forward Air Controller?
If you guys could help me find the "holes" in his story, I can at least confront him or report him to the Feds for impersonation of a military officer!
Thanks for the assistance!
