Yahoo! Were #48, last place, Yahoo!!!

Ah yes, Alaska coming in number 1...er...49...er, whatever, it's awesome. Most cops I talk to up here rather like it. One said to me, "Sometimes the only backup you'll have is a citizen with a gun. While it's not as good as a trained officer, who speaks cop, it beats the HELL out of being...

Hey! Next time I'm callin' the cops man! I see you slinking around in that brown, windowless van of yours... Yeah, I know your game! "Free Candy" my ass! Speaking of said yard... Know anyone who needs a 3bdrm/2bath house with a huge yard?

F/A-18E vs F... benefits of one over the other?

The F has the convenience of coming with someone who can carry your bags out to the plane and, probably more importantly, will help you sing "You've Lost That Loving Feeling" to a girl at a bar. I KEED, I KEED!

What is the 2011 demand for NFOs?

"Demand" for NFOs is a strong term. More like "desire" as in, we desire to have someone pack our luggage out to the plane. Maybe expect is a better term. So in a round about sorta way, there is a "demand" signal of sorts. I KEED, I KEED!

    Mile swim for prior aircrew???

We had a flight doc leading our class since he was an O-3. Nobody even brought up the line vs non-line thing - and he wasn't even an intimidating prior SEAL. :) I was still in OCS mode during API, I would do anything anyone with some semblance of authority told me to do.

Air France A380 clips regional jet at JFK last night

I'm with A4s, how someone wasn't seriously injured on the CRJ is pretty remarkable. They got ROCKED! I think the reason the Air France A380 was going so fast was the Lufhansa jet chasing it just outside the camera's frame! In a report I read, the Air France pilot was yelling, "Oh non! Les...

Hey guys, I just bought my first AR lower!!! I know, how did I go this long without one? Anyhow, I went with the Plum Crazy lower because we had a group buy at work - couldn't pass up the price. I was thinking of going with a 7.62x39 upper since I already have a SKS and a small stash of 7.62...

Motion Sickness: a barrier for a potential aviator?

Hey, it worked for me. I filled four bags my first flight (and I mean FILLED), three the second, two, then usually one until I got meds. I was able to over come it by my checkride and have a few revisits during PAs. Of course, the T44 was no fun when you were in the back on a hot Corpus day...

I can confirm the LT being too senior comment. Had a guy at my last command who was an NFO, not interested in NFOing any longer (finished commitment). He was a PT stud, could smoke the PT at BUDS i expect (just one fo those guys). Anyhow, even with an admiral pushing for him, they wouldn't...
