Reserve EDO DCO

You know a Master's degree is required for EDOs, you would think that they'd throw us a silver bar. But, I am damn proud to be going from chevrons to some butter on khakis!

Bad gouge x 2. Masters degree isn't required for EDO. Though preferred, they have taken folks who are in pursuit of one.

Also, I've seen folks with masters degrees, even two of them and still commission as an Ensign.

What about prior service? Is it routine for people with significant 10+ yrs to get commissioned as an Ensign?

Go to page 3 under number 5 (Appointment). Plain and simple.

Thanks - it also specifically says "DCOIC" but my recruiter seemed to think that as a 10yr OSVET/O-4 I could get a waiver. Do you think that's off the table too?

You never said you were prior officer so I assumed enlisted. NRC/NPC will make the determination as to what rank you'll affiliate with.

Is the ready reserve agreement the document that "officially" commissions you as an officer in the Navy? The copy I signed had a paygrade/designator on it for me so that makes me think it is.

I was told the agreement initiates the release of the letter and COMDOCS. I signed mine about a month ago. My acceptance letter came two weeks ago. I need to go in about an hour before the ceremony to sign the official documentation.

Edit: I should say your timing may be different. I have an active clearance, the processor told me this streamlined the release.
