Well I'm certainly no expert, but if I had do assess based on the little I've learned on this site.

GPA isn't great, but I've seen others with similar get selected.
ASTB is essentially right in the competitive window
I'm sure the Private Pilots Cert is a nice bonus to your package.
No idea about the Civil waivers and how that plays into selection.
You're no expert so you should give zero advice.

I'm trying to submit for this board. Everything is complete but my degree might not post before the required June 13th submission deadline. If I submit after the 13th but before the board convenes then do get put up for the July 11th board or does it at pushed to the next Pilot/NFO board.

Your ASTB score is a bit concerning. Don't be surprised if you receive a NON-SEL or tabbed to a future board (which still isn't promising).
I am concerned too, had been recommended half/half on retaking or applying anyways. However, if I do receive a NON-SEL I will definitely get that score up. Thanks for the response!

I have created an excel spreadsheet of everyone participating on this board (that has posted up to this point). I mainly made it for myself but if any of you want to use it feel free. I have the averages being updated down to cell 30.
Nice! once I retake ASTB ill compare to this and add myself. Right now I have a 48 4/4/5 :( not enough for SNA). studying and just got the VA to give me a no benefits letter and stop my 20% diss. payments so I should be good to go through medical soon. Depending on how fast things go will depend on whether I will make July board.

New FY 17 Board schedule posted yesterday on NPC, however, does not appear to be a change for our board. Still June 6th NRD, June 13th NRC, and July 11th Convene.

Some study materials I recommend personally is the Cliff Notes Math review for standardized tests. That book for the most part walks you through basic to complex, with exception doesn't have Logs. It was very helpful for myself. I personally found the materials on this site riddled with errors for the math sections, but it at least showed you types of problems to expect, so that you can go search for more official sources for practice.

So I was selected for Army Flight Warrant today, Im aged out for SNA and while the dream has always been to fly, I still think I'd prefer NFO and Navy Officer life. Any life advice y'all?

I would search around here a bit, my understanding is you would do much more flying as an Army WO, so look at both lifestyles and ask some targeted questions, there are some Army helo pilots on this site as well.

Thank you sir, I guess to clarify... The dream has always been to be a military aviator, Im not one of those guys who would rather be in a Cessna than NFO/CSO. I understand Officers have more leadership responsibility, collateral duties, and b billets and generally are in the air a lot less.

If you want to be a pilot and your dream is to be in control of an aircraft, then I think the choice has already been made for you. If your lifestyle or the mission matters more to you, then you will need to readjust your priorities and choose the branch that fits best.

To add to what the others have said, when do you need to give the Army a reply? Judging by the last board, results likely won't be out until mid to late July. If the Army's deadline is before then, I'd go with the bird in the hand.
