My recruiter also mentioned that people aren't very helpful on his end of the process, and I am inclined to believe him. He might be new to the job, but he has always tried his best to help me through the process and has always been honest with me as far as I can tell.

Yup. Every three weeks I look at my phone hoping this will be the day my recruiter tells me that my FINSEL has arrived. Then, when the phone doesn't ring, I pick up appendix B, go the the gym, or go for a swim. Every time it gets a little harder, but this, too, shall pass.

My recruiter told me that once your FBI investigation is done your FINSEL should arrive within a few weeks. You swear right after you receive your FINSEL before going to OCS. Your FINSEL has your OCS date which to my understanding is your orders for reporting to OCS.

Congratulations! Also, do you know how your recruiter found out your tentative date? Or is the tentative date your recruiter's educated guess?

I have heard of people waiting over six months for their FINSEL so i doubt it, but who knows.

I got my fingerprints taken before my package was submitted. From what I understand you swear after you get your FINSEL Letter, but before you go to OCS. There are OCS dates for June 25, July 15, and there is one in late August. From what I have heard the June school is packed, so we are looking...

I didn't mean to offend anyone with my comment, no need to get defensive. STEM definitely helps since it is much easier to study up on reading comprehension and the figures of speech than to relearn all of algebra, geometry, calculus, and physics. At my university most of the hard science...

Makes perfect sense. I was thinking it might have something to do with STEM majors; since I would assume that they would tend to get higher OAR scores, while at the same time having lower GPAs since many of their classes are graded on a curve.

It would be good to notice that the subjects with a really high OAR tend to have a really low GPA (at least in the given sample). Of the 10 subjects with a score of 52 and up only 3 have a competitive GPA. Also, I would be willing to bet that the average person that posts here is more likely to...
