Found out today that my final selection letter is signed and I'm locked in for OCS on May 8th. I go in to sign enlistment papers tomorrow. Woot woot! :D

The bosses at work were contacted on Friday regarding my security clearance. I guess the cat is out of the bag :eek: is anyone else aware if their employer has been contacted yet?

I went in to do my fingerprinting again last week and I was told my process would be expedited due to my age. They couldn't really tell me more specifically what that meant for my timeline. I will be turning 27 in mid November.

There were a few notified within two weeks of the last board I believe.

I just heard from my recruiter. He let me know I got picked up for pilot. I was having trouble paying attention in detail after he told me this, but he said he hadn't received anything official yet. Someone higher up had called him to let him know. Good luck to everyone and see you in purgatory!

I checked in with a recruiter today and he said yes, he had heard that the board was meeting either last week or this week. Seems like he would know more specifically but I'll take it. This is from NRD San Francisco.

@RUFiO181 @NavyOffRec Do you two have any sense that this board may have a lower SNA selection rate than the first two boards this year?

A 7 would be equivalent to a C+? I was never sure how the scoring scale worked for the ASTB, but I was also under the impression from a few recruiters that 7's are pretty solid.

The last time I heard from my recruiter he did say January/February board, so I assume he previously was estimating that the board would be in January.

Just wanted to update this for future reference. I finally got a medical waiver granted on the third try in early November. The key seemed to be that even though I have a few dysplastic nevi, I do not have "Dysplastic Nevus Syndrome". My previous two letters did not address the syndrome...

I found out yesterday my tattoo waiver was approved, and now my application is on to the quality control process. Does anyone know what that means? :) I keep thinking my application is complete and then there is one more step.

Yea, I would absolutely be happy as an NFO or even with another officer position in the Navy and I told him this. I also said I'd feel better if I at least go for SNA. It made me a little nervous because I was told that if I put NFO as my second choice I might not get picked up for either.

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, I think my recruiter was referring to the decision of N3M. I'm a little unclear on the medical waiver process. I still have my fingers crossed that it will get worked out in time for me to submit a complete package in October.
