Was this done under duress? Or is it a rotten marriage that holds up better when they're apart?

Co-location seems to work well for the Air Force, but for Navy surface it seems more like ??

Who cares?!

SWO community: Our DH retention sucks... what should we do?
Same community: Why not a story about dual mil couples that’s been done many times before?

Do you think they'll do a follow-up story about their divorce in 3 years? ?

I knew a sitting SWO DH who didn’t have a sea service ribbon and transferred before the ship deployed.

Think he ultimately got it on his second DH ride (CG OPS).
I worked with a nuke CPO who had around 14 years in that had no sea service ribbon an minimal underway time, he bounced from prototype to either pre-com units, or to CVN's going into the yards, the only way he finally rec'd a sea service ribbon is they kicked him to the west coast.

I also worked with another CPO that had never stood watch on an operating Nimitz class, he took 2 years to get through school, then was a staff pickup, went to a pre-com, then back to prototype, then to us in the yards, so he had been a surface nuke for about 10 years before he operated a Nimitz class reactor.

There are many nukes who work the system.

He: Signing up for SWO DH and no Sea Service Ribbon?

Shit happens. He likely has been in the yards and work-ups his entire career. Or he amongst the unfortunate souls who reported into the ship mid-deployment and were just a few days shy of qualifying for a sea service ribbon. It happened to me on my first deployment.

Look, we use acronyms in the military and I'd appreciate if you'd stick to the proper nomenclature. Fixed it for you...

I've never been on an LCS, though.

Obviously they’re into BDSM.
