Running in boots is not going to kill you all, relax. The military in general will typically always condition you first. They don’t just throw you to the wolves or have unnecessary processes that would injure or hinder training ability for the general masses.

Yeah the bit of running I’ve done in boots wasn’t bad it was just a little sluggish and annoying.

On a separate note, it might be unrealistic to consider the November 24th ocs class but I saw some stuff about ocs having leave for Christmas time? That’s really a thing?

Running shoes as of a year and a half ago

PT Test will always be in running shoes. There was only one event which required extensive running in boots. (Keep in mind this was also about 5 years ago) I'll reach out to my buddy Zach who just recently commissioned.

My friend that’s going to be part of the oct 13th OCS class was told they will have 2 weeks off. One week at home and one on base from what he told me

That sounds terrible. I’d rather get it done in 12 weeks rather than extend the whole OCS “vacation”

These things get mentally monotonous though I’d be glad for a break to reset your motivation and break it up. The pipeline is like 2 years anyway. I’m in no rush if I get selected lol.

Agreed, the break would boost my motivation and morale quite a bit. Of course I say that, but whenever I’d return to college for the spring semesters, I’d be super lazy the first week back haha.

I concur LMAO if anything, SEALs are a testament to this I would run everyday in those damn boots if I got the chance to be a Pilot ??

Your recruiter will be notified in the following days. It is all up in the air, I found out a few days after my board met, and other people found out a week or so after.
