Why do you say that?
(OPINION) If I had to guess, it is mostly sarcastic. A few responses on here have stated that you will be standing around outside and could be potentially very warm. A few people noted they should have worn shorter sleeve shirts (polos maybe?) to avoid this. To counter the idea of showing up in board shorts and a tank top, others noted you do meet with XO and potentially other personnel day 1 while in civilian clothes, so it was recommended to still look a bit professional.

Looking at all of the photos on the OTC Newport Facebook page of classes checking in, i'm confident in wearing nice jeans, sneakers, and a v-neck t. It'll still be hot in August too.

Okay, so I have to ask folks here... Do they make you start doing pushups on Day 1 while in your civilian attire? Other accession programs typically don't, but figured I'd ask. Which then makes me ask if a v-neck for a female is the best idea?

But maybe that's just the perv in me asking.

I am cracking up ?. To answer your question, no. The first day is all paperwork and other in processing stuff. I've got a friend there now that is graduating shortly and I asked her how the report day went. No worries about being on your face lol

Aside from the PRT you do on the Tuesday or Wednesday of the first week, expect no physical activity until Friday. Then expect a lot.

Thanks for the answer. I guess this should have been asked in the inner sanctum of the female OCS thread.

Meh. It isn't as if that thread isn't already read and commented on regularly by non-females, i'm sure as a result of sheer curiosity. ?‍♀️

That’s a lie, because the FB page is directly linked on the command website. Also, “OTC Newport” is the first FB page that shows up in a FB search.
No disrespect here but it wont make sense to lie at all if its true! Maybe I'm being overseas and fb is not showing up the same for me.

Tried this one: But its not available to me??

Looks like you’re SOL, because the link works. It appears Thai internet doesn’t want you to FB.
