G-Suit and helmet for CAP? Wow... the paint must really start to melt off those Cessna's at a blistering 122 kts!

nzachman

Yeah, well. The Dude abides.
I think the G-suit is used in CAP to keep our senior members fat guts tucked in tight. Cut the poor C/Capt some slack, at least his boots are shiny:rolleyes:

I'm the guy in the white circle. No, I'm kidding. My brother does/did CAP.

When the fat kid is done playing Air Force Airman he pretends to be a Ranger and runs, walks rather, around with a fake Garand.

This is the most hilarious concept for a thread I have ever seen. Ever.

I hate to say this, but for years I mocked CAP at every opportunity. Now as a father to boys 4 and 7, I can only hope they are engaged in the mini military lunacy of CAP. It's far better than skate boarding with their jeans handing off their a** from the 2 lbs of meth in their back pocket.

I can't even imagine how the real vets of Omaha beach would feel about this.... honored or embarassed??

A picture I found through google. ^^^I do have to agree w/ stearman, as much as I like to mock CAP (and I am even a member), it is a good program. One of the best events for me in CAP was my first orientation flight in a cessna. I loved flying so much that I got a part time job just to pay for flight lessons and got my pilots license. I can definitely say that without the opportunities CAP presented to me, I would not going for a pilot slot in the military; that simple.

True, but it tends to bring out all the Niedermeyers.

Now I will say there has to be a line in the sand even for CAP. Severely obese and Neidermeyer's need to be booted. I actively attend a few local CAP meetings as an interested civilin at the request of some teen's parents who've had problems with the "seniors". Most have never been in the military and believe that yelling is what it's all about.

Believe it or not, I've met the largest preponderence of Army Delta operators and Navy SEALs, and Vietnam special operators commanding local CAP units:eek:) I figure they must just be there soley for the development of the kids.

I pay them due respect, liten to their stories, then proceed to kick their egos around the room like a cheap beach ball. Wait till your kids are of age...you'll have your chance.

There are definitely more fatties in CAP than Neidermeyers nowadays as we have taken good strides to rid ourselves of the yelling mindset (at least in Ohio). The damn problem is that our PT requirements are not stringent enough; and anyone over 21 does not have a PT requirement, they just have to wear a CAP distinctive uniform instead of AF issue.
