I would add...

76. How to quickly and smoothly unfasten a bra with one hand, without looking, even the front fastener kind.

What is it with you guys and your difficulty with the front hook? It's actually more simplw than the back, especially, I would think, for one-handed attemps. You simply "fold" it in half (with the fold or break being vertical), like you are breaking it in 2, then slide one side up and the other down. How is it you can fly a multi-million dollar aircraft and yet not operate a mechanism that has probably been around since the 18th century?

I always like the rear entry.... wait, I mean with bras. I mean... oh boy.:watching3

And as for the party foul with respect to asking for rep, asking for rep from a dude with 0 rep power is even more retarded. That's like high-fiving the biggest douchebag at the bar.

77. Be able to build something out of wood. Anything. If people were able to build houses and wagons and forts out of wood in the days of manually operated tools, you should be able to build something with all of these power tools you have available. No Ikea allowed.

Hey, never said I couldn't do it; just that it is a good man skill to have.

Come to think of it, I am a little rusty. Pictures might help. :D

It's not the mechanism itself that makes it difficult, it's the fact that I never expect it. That added element of surprise is what made me look like a fool the one time I encountered the infamous front-loader. I am a wizard with the normal bra's though.

I'm starting college in the fall, maybe I'll get more practice.

Nice to meet you, too. ;)

Good luck with that rear entry.

+1 (with some actual rep)

It's also like getting an attempted smack-down from the biggest douchebag on AW.

It's always interesting to read these magazines that say what a guy should and shouldn't be. They have good info and can be entertaining, but they're just that, entertainment. Men who take this stuff too seriously need a life, or more importantly need to think for themselves. This was a pretty good list, I'll admit, but when a magazine tells me I need a matching toiletry kit that costs $300 and am not a true man unless I own a $5000 suit and drink gin martini's, I lost interest and the magazine loses credibility.

Very true, except of course Gin is the nectar of the God's :tongue2_1

A few that should be on the list:

Be able to drive a car with a manual transmission.

Know how to field strip a 1911A1. (I'll accept P220, M9, USP, or Glock.)

Own a motorcycle at least once.

Know how to tip a "dancer".

I'm sure there's a few more...

You know sitting aroung the dusty plywood B-hut of an alert shack in a shitty FOB somewhere, we decided man-skills should be divided up into catagories such as basic, intermediate and advanced.

Basic (If you have a twig and berries between your legs, you should be able to do these:)
1. Throw a spiral
2. Change a tire
3. BBQ a piece of meat (to order)
4. Make a lay up. (dribbling is an implied task)
5. Jump rope
6. Complete at least one dead hang pull up
7. Drive a stick shift
8. Identify basic components of a car
9. Hammer a nail stright...the first time
10. Throw a punch
11. Bait a hook

Intermediate Man Skills are those that can't be expected of every demographic:
1. Successfully complete a J-turn using the E-brake.
2. Select wines
3. Swim laps using flip turns
4. Change the oil in your car

I don't remember if we got any farther than that. The point was, if you're a breathing dude, you should be able to do the basic skills, otherwise, your a candidate for getting back doored in your rusty sherrif's badge. Coversely, you can't expect everyone to successfully negotiate a sale, but if you refer to the basic man skills, you can knock the guy out if it doesn't go your way.

The conversation got way out of hand as the night went on...I'll spare you the details.

3. Swim laps using flip turns

When did that become manly? I thought that was on the list of things women knew? :)

Yeah, but nothing looks queerer than swimming laps (like Navy men should) and pulling your head up,turning yourself around using the side of the pool like a grade schooler. Meanwhile, some other guy who mastered the intermediate skills, stealthfully slips through a turn while you waffle around in his wake like a dog crossing a duck pond.
