Do you think that 400 pound person wants to look like that?
No. Of course not. Who would want to look like that? Do they have a choice about what they put in their mouth? Absolutely. Do they often make poor choices knowing full well the consequences of their actions? You bet. So why do they do it? Why does an alcoholic drink or someone with lung cancer still smoke? Chemical addiction? Sure, but what about those with gambling, shopping and other problems that don't involve chemicals. Are those behavioral? Why can one person go to vegas and just have a good controlled time, but another just doesn't know when to quit? If someone is skinny do they do everything right, and therefore all fat people do it wrong?
Throughout human existence we have had to work and fight for basic needs. The biggest part of our ancestors' day was consumed with the cultivation, preparation and storage of food. For the first time in history we have food in abundance and it is engineered and designed for taste. We have sedentary jobs, we work more than ever and when at home we have pleasure palaces undreamed of 50 years ago. TV's in every room, 100's of channels, phones, computers etc. Hell, you can even have prepared food delivered hot to your door. Is it any wonder why there are so many fatties today?
