We worked it once or twice at BWI but the vast majority was done elsewhere. A lot at Fort Meade.

There's been a couple of other threads if you poke around, but my 2 cents is this: DCs. There are cheaper headsets out there, but David Clarks last a long time and they're good gear. I've flown lots of hours w/ the 13.4 models (weighs 13.4 oz) and they were great. Not sure if they have something new and improved now, maybe 13.4s w/ ANR. ANR is a nice thing, but at the time I was flying gen. av., it was still way too expensive.
Well, if you've got the money, Bose are the way to go. For my whole 30 hours in a Cessna it was all David Clarks except for the one flight where I got to try a pair of Bose. I loved the DC's but man are the Bose nice, and this was three years ago. I hear they have even better models out now.
I hate to give bad info on Capitol Air because they did treat me really well and I had a great time with them. It's just that as I was leaving they were having some issues, but those may be sorted out by now. Another company to check out is Trident Aircraft (out of Bay Bridge). They have great prices and best of all, the owner is an Academy grad.

I used Lightspeed 30XLs for years (discontinued but similar on sale at their website.). I loved them. They were big but very light weight and comfortable. I used them both in GA and turboprops. The advantage Lightspeed ANRs had over Bose was a much longer battery life and the fact that if the battery did go dead, the headset still worked. Bose didn't.
When I get back to Hawaiian, I'll probably get the Lightspeed Mach 1.
