Absolutely not, Skipper Griz. During summers, we would have a local farmer do haying on our 20 acres of land in rural Wisconsin. My dad would make me help with the haying as one of the stackers. The farmer would always report back to my dad that I was a lazy kid who complained often and that I would not be a good farmer.

Edit- after reading the article, for Hyundai, that amount of loss in 3 years would result in a battery replacement under warranty.


After 3 years and 36,500 miles my battery in my Hyundai Ioniq5 is holding 95.3% SoH. After the initial 2-3% drop everyone sees in the first 3-6 months, mine has only lost .3 percent per year.


There are batteries that are 6-10 years old with 200,000 miles and tons of charges on them with less than 10% of a loss.

ICE cars do the same thing with their fuel economy.

And if I have 90% of the charge, or even 85%, it's not like my car becomes unusable.
