What overall score are you guys aiming for on the PRT when you take it?
So the army’s pt test changed a few times and the minimums are whack compared to what you need for the navy. And what they used to be under the old army pt test. (Also the sad fact that myself and another NCO were the only ones to actually try and exceed on the army pt test in my current unit.) Had to get back into pushups, because that isn’t as important anymore for our new one and only had to do 20 to exceed previously, but still hitting those 11:30/12 minute 1.5 miles and 2/2 and a half minute planks at 30 years old.

The best motivational statement one of my applicants put was along the lines of "I want to be a Navy pilot and have the chance to fly off of an aircraft carrier....... then added a line about watching the airshows and was fascinated by the skill the pilots had".

He had a 7 for PFAR so I figured he was a 50/50 shot at the time.
My PFAR is 8 and I have a 3.81 GPA in EE/Quantum physics. The tenor of my statement was linking my four years of aviation/DoW/DoN work experience with relevant SME programs that squadron officers lead, NASA internships, SMART scholarship, and my life long passion to fly and lead in the Navy.
