If your application is going to the Admiral today you should have it submitted way before the deadline.

Yeah so we figured out that we went to boot together and are now classed together for the Nov class, it’s amazing how small this world actually is.

This selection has been a childhood dream of mine as my family has never had a commissioned officer since the revolutionary war, I’m a fourth generation chief and making a mark in our families history. I can’t express how amazing this weekend will feel. Seriously congrats to everyone who got selected. This page has been a source of both anxiety and community, and can’t wait to be out in the fleet with y’all.

Congrats everyone!! Anyone have any idea how OCS date assignments work? Bc I’m still waiting from the May board, and I’m sure others are too, so I was shocked to see so many OCS dates for this board.

Mr. Celestin let me submit my package as a regular OCS package pending my flag letter for ISPP before the deadline. I got my flag letter after the deadline but before the board. I had everything fully submitted about a week out from the board. I did get selected. Take all that with a grain of salt though because this board had a 94% selection rate.

I discussed with my chain a date they were comfortable letting me go, told my skipper which class I’d prefer, and he sent that to Mr. Celestin. I then received an email with a service agreement that I filled, signed, and sent back to Mr. Celestin. The following day I received orders.
