Yep. The meaning is that a women gets to decide if they want to have a child or not. Thanks for playing.

And for the record. A surgical abortion is also the name for the care for a miscarriage, which is why we have women in red states going through life threatening situations because idiot politicians are deciding what care doctors are allowed to provide.
That is 1 way of caring for a miscarriage, suck the baby out followed by a DnC. The alternative is to pass the baby naturally or via caesarian.

However, I also believe that if the choice of whether to abort the child rests solely with the woman and the man gets no say, than the man should not be legally liable to have to pay for the kid if the woman decides to have it. My money, my choice.
Nice Chappelle quote.

Yep, you sound like you know what you’re talking about
My wife is an RN and she’s had several miscarriages. We are very familiar with the options, some more humane than others.

We also had to make the decision on what to do about a non-viable birth (genetically not compatible and passed before birth). We decided, together, she would deliver the baby so we could spent time with her before she was ultimately cremated.

Hey man, I honestly and sincerely offer condolences and sympathy for the pain that you've been through with your family. I also honor your decisions that you and your family have made.

But we're talking about servicemembers--our sisters-in-arms--who shouldn't have to be "in harm's way" in the US of A. So Alabama and Senator/Coach Tuberville can apparently make those very personal decisions for the unfortunate ladies of Alabama (well, the poor ones anyways). But they don't get to make those decisions for servicemembers AND don't get to impose a very real financial/leave penalty on them for seeking medical care. People go on medical TDYs all the time (anyone here ever do a medical tdy to get a vasectomy, just curious?).

I dunno, though...I see the silver lining. The Senate has some degree of ridiculousness to it, and this whole episode might help it be better.
