I am a SELRES IT1 and I submitted for the March board. I am hoping to be selected for 1825, I also put 1815 and 1835 as my 2nd and 3rd selections. I just found this site and found the previous post very informative.
Welcome to the page and good luck to you! I put in for 1825 as well for the March board.

I hope you get selected on the first time around. Feel free to ask any questions about the process. I have found all the answers to my questions here. I am also an enlisted in the IWC and was selected for 1835 (my 2nd choice), back in the Sept2022 board, but I am still going through the process. One thing I am learning is to to have a lot of patience, and research on my own the answers to my questions, to "ask" people to take the correct action on what needs to be completed to continue moving forward through this long process. At the end we are in charge of our own careers, but we already know that from the enlisted side.
Good luck to you.

Thanks! I hope to get selected as well, my CO/XO are both 1825 and they think I have a good chance based on my civ and mil experience combined. Are you an IT/IS on the Reserve side? When you're waiting to be officially commissioned do they refer to you as Ensign (sel) like they do a chief(sel) before season, dumb question I know, my wife asked me that and I didn't have the answer.

I am a drilling SELRES CTT2. When the region OIC sent my Welcome Aboard letter to my CO and XO, he referred to me as Ensign sel, even in the unit roster they started to write ENS SEL on my rank, but I feel kind of weird correcting people, so I just kept signing my emails as CTT2 until I get officially commissioned, based on my rank tab and NSIPS I am still a CTT2. I am basically stuck in the process until I get my Conditional Release approved by PERS. This is the DD-368 we need to route after being professionally recommended by the board. It is routed via Unit CO, NRC CO, NIFR Region, CNIFR, PERS. But mine hasn't left the NRC yet since March drill weekend. So I am basically waiting on people to push that package up the chain. You know that a process that is supposed to take a couple of days to get a signature, may end up taking months. Where is your drill site are you in the Wes coasts. I am in NC.

Thats what I thought, the last few months must have been odd being in this transition from E to O side of things, the chief calling you sir or CTT2. Everyone I talked with in the IW officer community says the transition takes months and will take up most drill weekends for a couple months. Just like you said waiting on signature's and things like that. I am indeed on the west coast, currently in AZ.

In my months between Chief and Ensign my unit took up the "Chiensign" title to call me. Which I preferred over Ensign Select so I just rolled with it. At least in the Reserves you only have to hear it for a few days a month until everything is finalized over.
Good luck with the process, stay at it and ask questions if they come up!
