AEDO and I believe AMDO as wellAwesome sent him a message and called waiting to hear back from him. This is for the AMDO?
Hey congratulations! Best of luck both this year and beyond. Results are out. Contact your OR. I was selected as the one alternate. Two applicants were selected for the program. That's all I know
Hey sir, I've been seeking one of these spots for the last few years with no luck thus far. I happen to be a mobilized SELRES Enlisted person, and I'm fortunate that my civilian employee offers me differential pay. I know a number of government entities offer similar differential pay as a few other guys and gals in my unit are recipients of this. If you read the Program Authorizations I believe you can see that some programs allow for folks to come in at higher than 0-1, but AMDO and AEDO appear not to be one of these programs. You can always re-enlist!I see this is not the most active thread this time of year, but I was hoping to get some insight from those of you who have been selected for AMDO. Does everyone get appointed as an Ensign? I am curious because many other fields across the other services direct commission officers at much higher starting ranks based on their education and experience. I am thinking about applying for AMDO at some point in the future but prior to I would like to know ahead of time if that is the only rank/grade you can enter as. Money isn't everything, but if I was activated at that low a rank I would be losing 50k a year and that would be hard to handle. And I am a NAVAIR employee and veteran already so I wouldn't be able to take advantage of the low-cost Tricare insurance or other military benefits I already have access to. So the only benefit to me would be fulfilling my desire to continue to serve. Hoping someone on here can share their experience with me.

Hey friend, yeah my experience has also been that all of the senior officers are very supportive. It sounds like you are very experienced! I think we have a lot of great people applying each year. This will be my third application. Best of luck, and may the best of us win! - JordanI'm currently working on my DCO package for the AMDO program. So far, I have a great amount of support from the SELRES AMDO Community.
I've been told I'm a strong candidate with having over ten years of Maintenace on F/A-18s, H-60R/S, C-130s, C-5s and Even the F-22s. Being a current CH-53K Senior Engineer working closely with NAVAAIR and currently a student pilot. As well, a 3.36 GPA for my Business Administration degree with an AS in Avionics System Technolgy. Has anyone recently gone through the DCO Board for AMDO?
Did you make it to boards before? How did it go?Hey friend, yeah my experience has also been that all of the senior officers are very supportive. It sounds like you are very experienced! I made it to two boards but wasn't selected for the last two years.Did you make it to boards before? How did it go?
Well I'm sure you'll get it this year, so do you have to redo the whole application and get new interviews each year? Do they give you feedback from the board members?I made it to two boards but wasn't selected for the last two years.
