On JoytoKey, youll see the corresponding button or movement you press on the throttle or joystick light up in yellow. Here is what I did:

Stick1: <- Mouse: <-(50)
Stick1: -> Mouse ->(50)
Stick1: Up Mouse: Up(50)
Stick1: Down Mouse: Down(50)
Stick2: <- W
Stick2: -> S

Button 1: E

Button 30: R-click

You need to do all of this in the "Edit button assignment":

Throttle Controls:
For the "forward" throttle position, click on Stick2: <- then "Edit button assignment". "Please choose the mode for this button (or stick)" setting needs to be on "Keyboard". Press "W" in the box right underneath "Keyboard Emulation : Basic". Click OK.

For the "reverse" throttle position, click on Stick2: ->then "Edit button assignment". "Please choose the mode for this button (or stick)" setting needs to be on "Keyboard". Press "S" in the box right underneath "Keyboard Emulation : Basic". Click OK.

For the "i clutch button" (this should be for odd numbers heard in the right ear to mimic the ASTB as closely as possible) click on Button 30 then "Edit button assignment". "Please choose the mode for this button (or stick)" setting needs to be on "Keyboard". Right click the box right underneath "Keyboard emulation : Basic" and go all the way down to the options and select "Mouse R-button". Click OK.

Joystick Controls:
For the "forward" joystick position (which makes the cursor go down in the game because it needs to be inverted), click Stick1: Up then "Edit button assignment". "Please choose the mode for this button (or stick)" setting needs to be on "Mouse". Go to the "Mouse Movement" section and select "Up". Click OK.

For the "downward" joystick position (which makes the cursor go up in the game because it needs to be inverted), click Stick1: Down then "Edit button assignment". "Please choose the mode for this button (or stick)" setting needs to be on "Mouse". Go to the "Mouse Movement" section and select "Down". Click OK.

For the "Right" joystick position, click Stick1: -> then "Edit button assignment". "Please choose the mode for this button (or stick)" setting needs to be on "Mouse". Go to the "Mouse Movement" section and select "Right". Click OK.

For the "Left" joystick position, click Stick1: <- then "Edit button assignment". "Please choose the mode for this button (or stick)" setting needs to be on "Mouse". Go to the "Mouse Movement" section and select "Left". Click OK

For the joystick trigger button (this should be for even numbers heard in the left ear to mimic the ASTB as closely as possible) click on Button 1 then "Edit button assignment". "Please choose the mode for this button (or stick)" setting needs to be on "Keyboard". Press "E" in the box right underneath "Keyboard Emulation : Basic". Click OK.

When you're all done, make sure to go to "File -> Save". I didn't mess with any of the mouse "Speed" or "Acceleration". Hope this helps.

A lot of information seems to be quite old on here, where should I start studying for the ASTB as of this year? Particularly math, but all sections in general.

Hi everyone,

I'm applying for SWO and Supply Corps this Sep/Nov. I got 46 OAR for my 1st attempt after 3 weeks studying. Should I retake it or just go ahead and apply?
- Over 5 years experience in Supply Chain Management.
- 3.18 GPA in Supply Chain Management, grade A for calculus.
- LORs from O6, O5, O4 and O3.
- Age waiver (I just turned 31 and joined the Navy 7 months ago).
- EP for 1st eval.

By the way, I'm stuck with some below questions. Could anybody please help me solve them? Thank you.

MATH:
1. If a slice of pizza has an area of 6pi in^2 and the angle on the end of the slice is 60 degrees, what is the arc length of the outer side of the slice?
2. There is 90,000 cubic units of human pee and poo. the height of the cylinder storage is 25, and the diameter is 10. How many cylinders are necessary to store all the poop?
3. 3 guys can do a job in 12 hours. If those same guys work for 4 hours, and then a new guy joins every hour after that how fast can they finish the job. Answers were 8hrs, 7hrs 20 min, 7 hrs, and 6hrs 20min.

MC:
1. if the temperature is doubled and the pressure is increased, what is the volume of the gas? Did it remain the same? double or quadruple?
we have PV=nrT ==> V=nrT/P. if both T and P are increased, then V remained the same?
2. One question that showed 3 balloons. 1 was a big oval, 1 was a small circle, one was a big circle. All of them were headed toward the earths atmosphere, which one had a greater pressure on it?
3 if you swing a rock over your head and it snaps from the rope which direction will it fly?
4. If Jim heats a metal ring with a 4” hole and then cools it back down, how big will the hole be?
5. if there is a strip with two metals side by side and when it is heated metal A expands faster, which direction will the strip bend?

I would not retake the OAR, you qualify for both SWO and Supply with the OAR. Is SWO your first choice or 2nd choice?

You are in the right place. I recommend staying in the ASTB forum and not looking further back than like 2 or 3 pages. On this thread in particular you can probably start skimming around page 400 (hint: if you are on a PC and click the ellipses .... you can goto a specified page)

Also, the search icon in the top right and type "Math" or "Math help" or something along those lines. Also, search "Kyle's guide" or "Jantzen simulator", "compass trick" - three very useful things you should be able to get some mileage out of.

In terms of relevancy - the ASTB changed like 2+ years ago (or less or more idk) but I'd be willing to bet the math, physics, and reading concepts are still the same. So anything older than 2020 won't be the most accurate in terms of how the ASTB is structured, but the math gouge will be good.

Hi,

SWO is my 2nd choice. But I heard that 50 OAR is golden ticket to be picked up. Mine is not competitive, plus I have low GPA. So I don't know about my chance.

OAR doesn't really mean anything to the boards.

Supply will take a deep look at your application, it is a small designator, SWO will just take quick look.
