1Nov2021 SNA/SNFO Board

Hey all! Another SNA applicant here.

Been lurking the boards for the past few weeks. My recruiter is pushing for this board date, excited but nervous I won't make the cut. I'm 26 going on 27, working as a full time mechanical engineer. I was medically PDQ by the USAF for recurrent lung collapses. I was training for CRO at the time. I got cleared by N3M for all except SPECWAR recently.

OAR: 60
ASTB: 8/7/8
BS Mechanical Engineering
GPA: 2.6, combined unknown (took a few classes after graduating)

Seems like I'm right in the middle of the bunch, but my GPA makes me think I'll get dropped. Also, what's the process for pro-rec? Are there interviews involved with the board? What's the PRT expectation afterwards? Is that just the regular PRT assessment?

Thanks guys!

Your ASTB looks awesome! That's pretty much what matters most.

You're far away from an age waiver too.

Look up the PRT standards and try meeting them and you'll be rockin' n' rollin'.

Thanks for the quick response and reassurance! I know it's all up to the board, but it's comforting when others offer words of assurance. I shouldn't have any problems meeting the PRT standards, just curious when they'll be looking at that before making the final decision

Yeah as long as you can run your 1.5 mile in less than 12 minutes, do 50 pushups (with correct form) in a minute, and plank for over 2 minutes, then you're as good as gold!

submitted everything last Thursday for SNFO
GPA: 2.8
ASTB: 58 6/5/6
BA in Political science
Letters from an 0-3, employer, and family friend

definitely gonna retake if I don’t get in this go around but we’ll see how it goes.

Cool, i was thinking a week before the deadline for some reason. Thanks
I am pretty sure that the august boards came out about 5 days after the deadline. So I’ll start checking about 5 days after the deadline for this board.

Last board the "At-Board List" came out about a week and a half after the submission deadline, and about a month before the board results.

is there a schedule for the next round of selection boards? Not looking like I’m going to make this one

Checking in (hopefully)...package submitted yesterday. Unsure if it'll make this board due to being so close to deadline...and no FY22 board dates out yet.

That being said..I'll update the sheet once I get confirmation I am on this board. Looking forward to waiting for At-Board :)

Good luck to all.
