Curious if anyone knows how many they are looking to select this go around?
from the NRC goaling document they are going for 11 selects this board, it looks like the number applying for this board is low for some reason, or the application are just working their way through the screening process.

Where are you getting this number from? I’ve been told somewhere near the last two boards. Any info you can give will greatly be appreciated.

NRC dashboard, NRC is now setting goals for the boards, limits for applications for boards, etc.... the 11 is per board, the 22 is remaining spots for FY, the 16 are those already taking FY 22 spots, the 38 is the Pro Y goal while the 27 is shipping goal, so basically if they fill all 38 spots and all 38 end up taking the position 11 will end up going in FY 23.

Isn’t this board for the FY22?
yes, but just because a person is selected on an board that will fill FY 22 spots doesn't mean they won't shift the person to a FY 23 spot, it happens with all designators every year.
How are you assuming that it’s because of a low number of applicants. I’m curious.
The number being selected has nothing to do with the number of applicants, I said the number applying for this board is low because as of last week only 4 were showing applications reviewed and ready for board, the number working through the process is unknown.

thank you for breaking all that down for us. So are the chances of getting selected pretty good? have they not been getting enough applicants to select and ship out?
