I do not have any active duty experience or friends who are, what is the timeline normally like between these stages? (like outside of COVID) Also from what I was reading earlier it sound like you're already there during the wait right? You're not home for this, you're in Pensacola waiting to start? Sorry I am very new to all this so I am trying to get a good idea of what to expect.
I can't speak for specific timelines all the people i know have or are going through have different timelines in the different phases of training. If you are done with OCS you'll come to Pcola and check in to the NASC and get admin work done and wait to class up.

The post OCS timeline will always vary. It just all depends on how the student track is going. Back when I went through (early 2015), the SNAs went to OHARP for a month or two and the SNFOs were checking in to NASC that following week. I was still stashed in A-Pool for about 2 months before classing up for IFS, but after that everything went pretty quickly. I had about 2 weeks between IFS-API. After API, I had about a good month or so before starting Primary. After Primary we all branch off to whatever advanced track you may have selected so it all varies after that.

Again, I think it all boils down to the student track all through the pipeline. If Primary is way backed up then I'm sure that they may slow down the class up times for IFS/API just to help out the wings/squadrons.

My info is a little dated as many things might have changed. Its always a crap shoot. Regardless, enjoy every free minute you have after OCS because its the only small bit of time where you will have ZERO responsibility. Once training starts, it NEVER stops!

That definitely helps clear things up a bit thank you! And also does anyone know, during OCS we obviously live on base, is that the same with each level of flight school. I am married so does anyone know what the living situation looks like throughout flight training?

You’ll be reunited with your SO after OCS is done when you’re headed to Pensacola for flight school.

So to clarify we would move together to Pensacola, and would be living together, in contrast to OCS where I am on base away from her? Sorry this might be basic info, I am having a hard time finding it out there though.

Yes, it'd probably be best for her to be in pensacola while you're at OCS so she can figure out working, living situation, getting settled, etc.

Yeah, that is what I thought but I wasn't sure if flight school was more like OCS where you have to be on base, limited contact etcetera. Thanks guys, sorry for the noob questions, but hey, the sooner we get to 200 pages the sooner we get our results ?

4 days till our fates are decided. Who’s feeling a little extra terrified today??
Been thinking about this for the last couple days. Gonna be some boys with wings on their chest sitting down and personally looking through each of our packages in a couple days deciding whether we’re Aviation material or not lol. Worst part being, we probably won’t know until later next month ?

I’m gonna randomly say results are September 3rd. If it happens, I’ll be back to reference this comment

The May board took four weeks and two days to release official results. That would be Sept 1st for our board, so thats what I'm going with.
