They definitely have more presence; larger, louder aircraft. Aside from that, I haven’t noticed much difference (I see several practices a month.)
I remember being quite disappointed first few times I saw the Blues after the switch to the little bug.
Best Blues aircraft was probably the A-4 although I remember the sleek look of the F-11 as a young lad. Even so, watching the F-4 do that stuff was awe inspiring. Damn….I can’t decide.
Delta wings in the Diamond, roll rate, and Van Halen.

This,....... from growing up in Pensacola (Gulf Breeze) and watching everything from the F-4's to the Super Hornet countless times since about 1968, I would say the best shows , and tightest formations were in the Scooters. I did not notice much difference in the Super Hornet from the Legacy, unless only showing up with 5 birds because of one ground abort and one air abort is related to being a Super Hornet.
