The Feb board was picking for FY 21 and 22, this one was primarily 22 with a few 21 sprinkled in. FY 21 had hard goals already even though COVID caused a few issues. FY 22 at this point only has soft goals until Dec/Jan and so they "estimate" and can so based on their estimation probably decided to pick a bit more either due to goals or due to seeing some people they really liked.

There is no way to accurately predict how many each board will pick, if you estimate about 50% you are probably going to be close.

But don’t panic if you’re on the test and they don’t seem to be getting harder. I didn’t feel mine were for math. Reading seemed to get a little harder. Mech got hard for one question then went back the easy/ theoretical stuff and I scored a 64.

Thank you! I'm nervous since this is my first try and I definitely don't want to have to go all the way to my third.

Relax when you're taking it. You'll have plenty of time. My only advice for math is when you're doing your long math on paper, be very sure to carry decimals to the right place and don't make silly mistakes.

Did you ever have to make educated guesses? or feel like you got questions where you had no idea where to start to solve them?

Educated guesses? I made flat out guesses on some of them. If I had no idea how to approach the question, I just guessed and moved on rather than wasting time trying to figure it out.

I remember several calculus level questions that I did that on. Last calculus class I took was 2006, so I had no idea how to do the math anymore.

Edit: Don't let yourself get in your head too much. The test isn't that hard. I'd put it on roughly the same level as the GRE. Not hard, but sufficiently difficult to leave you stumped at times.

On the Marine side, you can get the selection via MarAdmin, but when MOL reflects, it will populate orders and you can check out, until them it's just more waiting.

Yes I called them the day I saw the list and they said that they haven’t reached out to me because it was unofficial and wanted to wait until they received the official letter.

At this point, I was just wondering how like it is for my unofficial Yes to become an official No. and vis versa for those who got unofficial No. I don’t want to get my hopes up for it to be an actual Official No. And likewise for those who got a unofficial no for it to become an official yes.
