The old Vought guys did an amazing job. Stunning pics, Flug!

There's an F-8 in NAS Oceana outdoor petting zoo in dire need of same TLC. The wings are rotting where flaps attach at wingfold point.

The “hose nose” looks really great. But I liked the picture of the F-8!:D (sigh) Be still my heart.

To be fair, they do come to VP deployment sites too. But we prefer to go out drinking with them after their show rather than getting autographs. Technique only.

Ask and ye shall receive

We never had any cheerleaders on my 3 cruises either.

Must be bad timing for you because they're out there every year touring East and West:

edit-- If i had a better camera this picture could be dramatic, or if I could get on the ramp... there is a mobile light tower that they towed out on the ramp and are illuminating one side of the airplane.

Various pictures from the last year. One of my favorite things that I got to do was shadow the Arresting Gear Officer for my LSO PQS. Very interesting place to watch the recovery. The worst thing about this picture is that the brown-and-yellow striped bomb is still on the airplane.

Best we got was on the Shotgun cruiser, Jessica Simpson was doing something on the hangar deck of the CV. The OIC had one of the 60Bs spotted on the flight deck, we put on external power and hooked up the data link hardwire, and it was my job to sit in the ATO seat and keep the FLIR aimed at her ass. Surprisingly, the FLIR target tracker was able to keep a good lock on it. We got to watch in the helo and CIC.

Not sure if they were able to feed the video to Site-TV or not.
