120914-N-WX580-093 PHILIPPINE SEA (Sept. 14, 2012) Australian army officers watch an AV-8B Harrier jet aircraft assigned to Marine Attack Squadron (VMA) 542 take off from the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6). Members of the Australian army were onboard Bonhomme Richard to observe the amphibious capabilities of the Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (31st MEU).
