Stupid questions about the Rhino (Super Hornet)

Anybody got good ideas of what we can use as an alternate food source after we turn all of our corn and soybeans into ethanol and JP-5?

Nobody seems to think about that shit.

I think the most recent AF green machine runs on a fuel that doesn't use corn or soybeans. I'll dig around and find the article; I'm actually pretty certain it's made from the waste and byproducts like the stalks/husks etc. Not sure if it's actually 'efficient' per se, but it's a step away from robbing peter to pay paul as far as alternative fuel goes.

Why does the "Green Hornet Logo" look like the Obama Logo?

So It seems like a pretty cool idea except according to the article the BIOFuel that was used cost $67.50 a gallon as opposed to the current rate of about $2.94 that JP-5 cost. So on a 17.0 fuel load thats approx $191,250....Our tax dollars hard at work....

Or the inflation-corrected historic average of $2-3/gal. We're still a ways from this stuff being a miracle fuel...

If JP5 were made in the quantity that this new fuel is made it would likely be nearly as expensive. When the time comes this military industrial complex of ours will be able to mix technology, politics and economics to vastly lower the monetary cost of the new fuel. And just like pretty much anything industry touches, it won't be any more sustainable than what it replaces.

So true. I just got done having this conversation over beer and cigars.

Had this conversation on the subject of beer and cigars or had this conversation while consuming beer and cigars? :)
