Have any preliminary-yes's here been invited to "DEP" from their recruiter? Can anyone do DEP or is this reserved for those confirmed going to OCS? Does receiving a DEP email count as essentially (not literally!) getting a prorec-y?

Pretty sure it’s for both. I remember having to sign something saying I received and reviewed the Naval Officer DEP Guide to Success even though I had never heard of it lol. When I asked about it, my recruiter said it’s something we’ll go over after selection.

I was told I’ll be signing some paperwork this Friday that sounded like entering into the DEP for Officer Candidates. I’ll try to find out what I can and let y’all know (if we don’t have more info before then)

This definitely sounds promising that your unofficial will turn into an official yes! But I understand not trusting anything until it’s on-paper official.
