Top Gun 2, Why God

The summer before I started my freshman year in high school (1989), we moved to a new town and were without cable for at least two months. We had a few things on VHS, namely a bunch of Laurel and Hardy episodes and of course, Top Gun. I watched the movie at least 3x a day (hey, it was freaking hot outside in the high desert of CA and internet was still 6 years away). To this day, I still know every line of the movie from start to finish.

Top Gun 2 after it has been adjusted to the current views of Hollywood.
Maverick and Charlie, married had 2 kids, then divorced when Charlie realized she was a lesbian, she connects with Goose's widow and they end up getting married, both of Mavericks kids end up ultra liberal and think the military needs to be slashed to support social programs, when the F-14 is retired Maverick isn't selected for transition to another platform so he becomes an HR officer, and after being racked over the coals by Charlie in the divorce he now lives in a 2 bedroom apartment with his 38 year old girlfriend and her 15 year old son.
oh, and Iceman is now a 3 star, and that contributes to Mavericks BP issues.

That is actually funny. I know at least one pilot who changed over to HR.

I can imagine them playing beach volleyball on the shores of Walker Lake while dodging scorpions. And enjoying the wonderful night life in Reno.
Actually I would eagerly go watch a Top Gun 2 if they had Tom Cruise come back as the CO or something. If it's just a bunch of D list celebs it will suck hard.
