SUPPLY AUG 2013 Board

Supply hopefuls.... For those selected, you won't go to OCS until after Feb 2014. There are 12 people selected in July 2013 that are getting rolled out past this date due to a back up at Supply school. Good luck!

All Supply 2013 applicants - the Board has NOT met yet... they delayed it pending knowing the FY14 requirements. It seems they might be full. Those selected in the last board have been pushed out until FEB 2014. I'll post once I know the board met (if they do at all)

In a weird way this might be good for me. By requirements are you talking about quotas?

requirements do mean quotas, I and other OR's have seen this happen before, if they are full they very well may just pro X all the applications and tell them to re-apply when they have spots again.

So hypothetically, this is the last board that a person qualifies for due to age. Are they just "S.O.L" at this point? And does the cancellation of this particular board postpone future boards that have already been scheduled? When are quotas determined and/or announced? I do understand people already at OCS being disqualified from their intended community and switching over to the Supply pipeline. Are there other ways for Supply quotas being filled without a board or some other selection process?

Essentially yes, a person could age out during this time, I have seen it happen the last time this occured.

The board dates are just estimations, it is common to see them cancelled as quotas are better known or filled.

The quotas each year never come out the same time, this is because many other items need to be figured out, it is really a trickle down effect, with quotas being the last part, I have seen official ones come out as late as Feb and as early as Nov.

They quotas are filled either by the board or by those having to switch at OCS, this is only in regards to quotas assigned to NRC.

Navy officer recruiter I decided to call the OCS help desk after I saw your post on the board not being held. The guy who works there looked up the 26 August Supply board and confirmed it was held and said he had no doubt about it as he verified it twice over the phone. If anybody else wants to verify than call Mr. Ted Williams. I'm not sure where you got the information Navyoffrec, but the word straight from the horses mouth was different. Almost gave some of us heart attacks, haha

It wasn't me that said it wasn't held it was DIVO, and I believe she rec'd the information from NRC, and a tip, the OCS help desk is manned by OCS processors that are generally GS-5's, the lowest on the totem pole at NRC, given how long DIVO has been in recruiting she probably talks directly to the PM's or the director of OCS accessions who would have much more reliable info.

Agh sorry I read the name wrong, I'm not mad at you, just trying to get the info right. The guy who I spoke with was Ted Williams, I know he is the gentleman who sends out the board schedules and etc. when ask. He is also the main civilian who works with the ocs help desk, so i assumed if this is the same guy that tells us where to send our packages, and when different boards meet each month that he might know if they did. He pulled up whatever system he had in his computer and told me it definitely met on August 26. I guess at this point it doesn't matter, they will either post, or they won't.

I am sure DIVO will clarify where the info came from.

Supply is a "remote" board, so it isn't held at NRC, if he looked in CIRIMS it would say "at board" which is just a status or he may have looked at the board schedule. A remote board is where the PM's load the applications on a CD and send them to the board members, then the board send the sheet back with the selections, it takes a bit more time.

Any update? Jacobvan01 posted some info to the contrary of your previous post.

Did your source say if they were still meeting or if it was over?
