For the guys in the SHOW it’s really a matter of having your ducks in a row. The worse thing you can do is lie…or as @Gatordev notes, fail to read the forms.

The gouge in the late 2010s was VA and FAA can't talk to each other (true at the time), so claim away and don't mention to the FAA. TBI and PTSD diagnoses were more common (and probably real IMO). Ironically the FAA's changing stance has likely led to more people claiming less stuff that's probably there to avoid the FAA mental health boogyman.
