Neither of these seem remotely possible. 99% of rutans designs are not for combat or anything near. The majority have canards and twin tails. He began designing a long time ago and im sure combat aircraft were not what he was going for. The vari-ez is canard, and weighs less than most ordinance. The global flyer, and voyager were single purpose build aircraft to set around the world flight records. Im sure these features are more for aerodyanmics, im just not sure why.
