Wes Lupien field is so beat up, it's amazing they used to fly an air taxi to Boeing Field out of that strip. If you are off centerline by a hair you would probably end up in the farm field.

When it's manned for FCLPs, there's a crash crew and other "tower-like" folks, but ultimately, the LSO serves that SOF purpose.

It sounds like AUX 2 or Bouge Field. Another gray area not directly covered under 3710.

Are the X's painted on the runway? Or are they the flashing light carts?

Heh. When I soloed there in '67 it was shorter, narrower, and gravel. Also had high wires on the approach end of Rwy 7.
