I'll have to try that again, I guess. I briefly flirted with it, didn't spend enough time, and walked away --- still clunking along w/ Outlook 2003. :sleep_125

If you need any help stting it up, shoot me a PM...

Yes.

Way way way way more spyware/adware resistant. Much better user interface. For example.. tabbed browsing.

That's all well and good except when it doesn't run right on your machine. Yes, I know I'm one of 3 people who have problems w/ Firefox, but the thing locks up a lot when I used it and forget about sites w/ flash. I would always get an error message telling me there was an error. Yes, I had flash installed (ver. 8). Finally I just gave up and went back to IE.

Yep, my only b!tch. Some sites use IE specific code. That's the only time I'll use IE.

There's an extension called IE Tab that allows you to render pages as in Explorer from within Firefox. It isn't available for Mac OSX, but I've found it convenient for both dealing with standards non-complient sites (that is, IE only) as well as checking up on cross-browser compatibility when developing myself.

Apologies for the threadjack, but I hope somebody might find this handy.

Now that the whole IE thing has been sovled, is there a way to import settings from web-based mail to Thunderbird?

I'm not lazy, I'm disabled.
Depends who provides your web-based mail. Some providers don't let you do it, others make you pay for it. Who does your webmail?
