Well, again, yes and no. As much as I dis-like nit-picking, will proceed.

Fleet Admiral, Five Stars, remains in the Navy Rank Structure. O-11, which is a Pay Grade, does not exist. Officer pay caps out under Executive Level III, as I remember, at about $150,000 per annum. So if the Pres nominated and sent to the Senate for partisan bickering, to the best of my belief, the military pay scale legislation would have to be addressed, most likely capped at the O-10 Exec Level III of $150,000 the same as the poor Admiral O-10 receives as base pay.

Interesting tid-bit on pay and pay caps, when I was Civil Service as SES my pay was capped at Executive Level IV or then about $119,000. However I continued to receive my entire E-9 retirement, which put my combined pay near Exec Level III pay. Officers in the same circumstance took a hit on their retirement pay.

Sorry for thread jack. Cannot help myself at times. Carry on.

Just thinking out loud here. Why wouldn't they get a little more pay since they now have not only more responsibility, but are now even bigger targets for assissins and probably a larger price on their head? I mean, isn't that how it goes, the more responsibilty or training, the more pay? Just thinking. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Are these cyborg ninja assassins like in Robocop 3?

For what it's worth, in my book, you ain't a "real" prior unless you've done a deployment with an operational command. Being picked up for BOOST out of boot camp or Nuke Power School doesn't cut it.

Okay, I know it's a little late responding to this comment, but I feel it's necessary.

Seeing as how I've been in for 9 1/2 years I find it interesting that all of the nuke guys are claiming prior "E".

However, many of them don't have a first good conduct, let alone a second or third. They claim to be prior enlisted when some of the midshipmen have justg as much time, if not more, in the Navy as they do.

I don't know maybe I'm just being stupid, but I don't see how someone in the nuke pipeline shoud be held on the same scale as I.
