I do know a LT Mullaney will be the OIC for Whiting Avenger, and that it should be starting around Spring 2021
What's the syllabus for avenger? Tried searching for it but couldn't find it anywhere

Ever changing, divined by our OIC and OPSO on a daily basis. We still do instruments, contacts, and forms as separate blocks, but most of the material is introduced early so we can take off IFR, get VFR on top and do a normal contacts profile, then come back and shoot an approach, for example. What's the syllabus for avenger? We use Prepare3D and these VR “sleds” built by Booz Allen Hamilton with off the shelf gaming PCs and warthog sticks and throttles.i may have missed in earlier in the thread, but what is "Avenger"?
Is it a VR T-6 that you use for this syllabus? what kind of VR gear do they use? ie. which headset, which sim software?
It was random. Checked into TW-4 after two weeks of ROM, got an email saying “you’re in Avenger” and here I am. It’s just another version of primary; there’s no guarantee of platform or anything. They still haven’t really decided how to select us since we won’t have a normal NSSDumb questions, but how does one get into the Avenger syllabus? Are they running the program at both wings? Does it stipulate anything like follow-on pipeline or is it simply just another version of Primary?
Primary Avenger (speeding stud flow through instruction modernization) is nice, low-hanging fruit, but doesn't seem to address the larger systemic issues in TACAIR stud flow rate (a/c avail, syllabus structure, wx cx, etc)
am I missing something?

They may split us that way. I try not to think about it too much.Wait, is all the avenger set up events just a sub for some of the flights and UTD/OFT events or is that designed to be a majority of the primary experience?
Leave it to the navy to hold a time bomb like selections to figure out how to weigh the NSS until the studs are partway through. I bet you'll see a representative break up to different pipelines of intermediate and advanced so they can keep an eye on how the avenger prepares you for what comes next. Isn't that the whole point of primary?
This is all adjacent to not sending SNAs to the boat anymore and adjusting what training is done in the VTs and what is done in the FRS.
I heard that was a rumor for a long time, but what’s the status on the VTJs and CQ? Are jets studs just skipping VT CQ? And do E2 SNAs even go to the T-45 anymore?

And the program still has the same number of flight hours and OFT/UTD events, the big change is some syllabus flow plus the VRs as essentially instructor profsits.
My understanding is that the Avenger style will rollout to all of primary eventually, but until then there’ll be incremental changes.
