USN FY 26 IWC DCO Reserve Board

Anybody know if we can re-apply for the fall board or have to wait until the next fiscal year to apply? I've been told that may have to wait until next spring to apply again, but that's not confirmed. I'm gearing up for 3rd try.

You can apply again for fall. Might have to refresh parts of the package as IWC has expiration dates (LOR signings, interviews, etc. )

You can absolutely apply the next cycle, don't let your recruiter screw you and tell you no. That happened to me a number of times.

Rule of thumb is 6 months, but more important is you need to show you’ve made improvements to your application - not just copy and paste the same one as before.

Thank you, that's good to know. Between 1st and 2nd application I got my CISSP. Anybody know what other major certs they are wanting 1825 applicants to have? More than willing to get another one knocked out before next board.

Congrats on the CISSP... that's a brutal one. I have 7 certs and a shiny new Master's with no luck as an 1825 applicant, so beats me what else helps.

Thanks, I appreciate that. Sounds like you've got a pretty stacked resume. I guess we'll just keep applying.
 
My UMUIC is full of 1835's who are O-4s and above. Maybe the community is top heavy in the billets? Who knows, all we can do is keep applying.

Certifications: Certified Information Security Manager, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, GIAC Security Essentials, Certified Information Systems Security Professional, GIAC Security Leadership Certification, Project Management Professional.
