Yet sometimes it seems quite doubtful ?

USN have never allowed the Russian naval architect to crawl over any aircraft carrier or LHA making hell of a ton of snaps. The French did that.
Well, you guys DID help them with their little German problem a couple of times...

I wonder why that is?
Once upon a time at least a half of taxi drivers in Paris were former Imperial Russian Army officers, maybe that is the reason:D

Yeah but we have never really understood the level of rivalry between those two. Michael Foucault once wrote that a couple of these funny terms like "race" and "nation" are stemming from a "German ethos inside the French mind and vice versa".

BTW, hope in the future the Russian Navy would be welcomed to send the bubblehead exchange people to Perisher Nuke in UK as well as Perisher Diesel in Netherlands. The thirst to exchange the experience in military is always greater than the national security interests:eek: Since we essentially have nothing naval to sell but underwater experience, it would be funny enough:p

You can marry a Russian and still maintain the highest clearance. Just depends who you are, who they are, and if you go about it the right way.

PERS-43 has essentially killed any PEP options for aviators these days. Hard to justify when they're having trouble filling spots in production tours.

Not necessarily for all communities. FMS has yielded (and will yield) onesy-twosey options. But nothing the OP has to worry about right now.

And by "go about it the right way," they mean "kill three trees for the paperwork." :p

Yes, you could. Common misperception that marrying a foreign spouse dqs your clearance.

It however will limit the jobs available to you.

It's not so much that it makes you inelligible for a clearance as it makes maintaining one a lot of extra hassle.
