Trashed dreams

I was really looking forward to leaving for OCS on Sunday. I was almost completely packed, knew all I needed to know and then some, in top physical condition, and as mentally prepared as I will ever be. That was before I decided to go cruising today and get railed by some idiot in a minivan, breaking my foot in two places and effectively ending any hopes of doing anything at all for the rest of what will now be a miserably long summer. Good luck at OCS guys, I'm rooting for ya.

I know it's not what you probably want to hear, and it may not seem like it now; But everything happens for a reason, man. I'm a firm believer.

awe sh*t man. Sorry to hear that. I know that's a big deal for marine types and you def. can't run 4-5 mile runs with a broke foot. Hey, at least you're not dead.

Sorry to hear about your incident. I wish you the best and I know you'll make it into the Marine Corps eventually! Heal quickly and definitely hit up the book list. I've bought about 10 titles off of it already and haven't been disappointed yet.
