I was just referring to Henry leading the band at Dukes. Never got a chance to see Keola but heard it a couple times. Left the island with about four of Gabby's CD's. Next to Marley, slack-key is da best for feeling good in the sun... Don't miss the attitude there though, but taking the bike over the Pali is something I always appreciated and never took for granted.

I Leadership in the C-2 Community has been getting stronger than it traditionally has been. I would explain weak leadership in the past with the lack of C-2 guys being CO's, they were all from other communities. This was for several reasons, but the main one was the community didn't have a warfare designator for a long time and that created a glass ceiling @ the O-3 to O-4 transition. We've now had the first group of natural COD CO's. One of them is now going to be the FRS CO. Many thought a COD guy would NEVER be the E-2/C-2 FRS CO.

I would say the front office, at least at 30 in the recent past, hasn't been strong. No leaders, just front office managers. Who is going to be the new FRS CO? DWOO?

With CAG Sherman back in 00 with DET-4 (as I recall) was the only time I remember the COD's being craned aboard. There was no love lost on that deployment.

This one had something to do with a tail hook failure during a log hit. I don't really know what went wrong with it, kmac can probably explain better.
