The pilots, aircrewmen and two Sikorsky SH-60F helicopters are fully Search and Rescue capable and can respond to actual rescues, support local area disaster relief, and participate in various medical or emergency exercises.
CTW5 Helo Det Pensacola provides additional services in support of Navy/Air Force water survival training, VIP logistic flights, U. S. Marine Field Support, local area Disaster Relief Drills and MEDEVACs.
