To expound upon that, for ANY airframe, whether it's a jet, helo or tilt-rotor (V-22), landing INTO the wind will generally require less power and afford more control, as well as power-margin for a waveoff. So while wind limitation envelopes may allow for a crosswind (or even tailwind?), generally the best scenario would be to land into the wind.

Here's a quick (dumb?) question: why does the H-60B/R/F/H have the MTS/FLIR turret above the mount when the MH-60S has it below? I mean I can see that there's some black magic ASW shit mounted below, but it's not as if that blocks it anymore than it would be blocked mounted above. Anyone know?
