120422-N-SK590-531 ARABIAN SEA (April 22, 2012) The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Sterett (DDG 104) and the Los Angeles-class attack submarine USS Pittsburgh (SSN 720) move in formation with ships and submarines from partner nations including Great Britain, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia as a P-3C Orion assigned to the Tridents of Patrol Squadron (VP) 26 flies overhead. Sterett is deployed as part of the Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility conducting maritime security operations, theater security cooperation efforts and support missions as part of Operation Enduring Freedom. Here's another stupid question...in the HC/HSC world, we alternate seats all the time to build proficiency and don't "upgrade" from one seat to the other. How about in side to side tailhook cockpits? Cool vid, by the way...

You fly in both seats just like helos, but only land from the left

That always surprised me but I guess it makes sense with the boat. We fly and land from both seats and part of our upgrading syllabus involves landing emergencies from the right seat.
