The end of NATO?

Canada selected Germany's ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems Type 212CD submarine for their future submarine fleet of up to 12 subs. The Type 212CD's are a joint Norwegian-German sub class (CD=Common Design, meaning they are the exact same boats for both countries) where the countries plan to share construction, maintenance, training, basing and even possibly mixed crews with Canada joining that agreement in some fashion in addition to buying the subs.

Interesting design with the hull having a pretty unique shape and 'Control Room' along with offset torpedo tubes.

That bridge feels kind of Star Treky to me. still, I haven’t been on a submarine for many years so what do I know?

12 total hulls? With their economy and political, leadership, they’ll end up with 3. 1 for training, 1 for display, and 1 operational to keep American Sailors out of My Apartment in Halifax . . . .
