TBS start date

I finally got my TBS date OCT. 15 and was wondering who else would be reporting at that time.

I have a reporting date of 25OCT. Looks like we'll both be playing in the snow this winter.

yeah its kinda of we get all of the extreme cold and get to leave as the weather is getting nice. Are you sure its not the 15 because mine orignally said the 25th but now my OSO says it was supposed to be the 15th

I havent heard anything on changes. Our OSO just changed over so I think the new one is probably busy with other things right now. I plan on calling at the end of the month to find out. Im just wondering why I couldnt get IFS before TBS. Its just above my level I guess.

I heard they are trying to get rid of it period so you may not even have to do it. Until then though just enjoy your TAD

oct. 25 seems more accurate. tbs picks up on thursdays so you have ur 2 day check in period before the weekend. and my company's graduating on the 11th so i'm pretty sure they dont want to have only 4 days to prepare for the next company.

oct. 25 seems more accurate. tbs picks up on thursdays so you have ur 2 day check in period before the weekend. and my company's graduating on the 11th so i'm pretty sure they dont want to have only 4 days to prepare for the next company.

There's multiple Companies on deck at TBS so the staff doesn't need time between them to prepare. The staffs will more or less roll from company to company but with a few months in between. For example Delta company's staff will be the Bravo Co. Staff and so on.

Well, apparently there's a lot of changes going on...they're even adding 2 more companies this year! Which sucks because it's not like they have the room for the 6 companies they have now (and the one for WO)...I think it will be interesting to see how they cram all that in. Be on the lookout for even more compact living arrangements. That'll suck.

What's your source on the info about adding new companies this year? I've been hearing some variant of that rumor for a while, but haven't seen anything confirmed. The last time I checked with my OSS about start dates (a couple of days ago), the report dates for the first three classes in the '08 fiscal year were 15 Oct., 3 January, and 3 April, which seems like a long time to be going between classes if they're going to squeeze in 8 companies in a year.

Where would they put the companies to because arent they already packed full with the amount of students they got.

This is going around TBS too. The first rumor was that LT's were going to be housed in the old Corporals Course barracks there next to the parade deck...until they tore them down a month or so ago. Now the rumor is some of them will live out in town. Like everything around here, we'll see.

Actually it looks like they are already spacing them out a little bit, maybe in prep. Alpha used to class up last week in Nov and it looks like they are classing up now the 15 Oct. That and Bravo looks to have moved up at least 2 weeks from where they were a few years back and I wouldn't be surprised if they were adding companies.
