It was a fun adventure and a memorable one for our family. Warrior Day was filled with fun times, (AND FANTASTIC WEATHER!-not too hot, not too humid, and a nice steady breeze throughout the day!)- even shooting my first weapon (actually 2- it took my husband 8yrs of naggin to finally get me out on the range) lol. My daughters even shot the M203 and let me tell you it was their highlight of the day. haha. We saw the E-course and saw one of our friends demonstrate the flying squirrel- pretty cool technique there..lol. Then I saw my first ever up close ch53, ch46 which we have video flying right directly over us...as we were enjoying our yummy mre's...oh man, I see why ya'll get so excited about flying now...that was definitely an amazing site.

The next day GRAD day! What else can I say, the guys were dressed to impress... and that was our day. We got'er done...hub is happy to move on to bigger and better things...so now we're off.

Congrats to y'all. Keep us posted on your move to Pcola. And trust me...I've seen big nappy dudes act the same way your daughter did the first time they fired the 203.

If memory serves me right, when Gen Jones was Commandant one of his sayings that sticks in my mind is "The best thing about Quantico is seeing it in my rearview mirror".

I was in Alpha Co several years ago and we had a pretty cold winter so as soon as we pulled into Pcola we went straight to the beach and 'thawed' out for half a day without even unpacking. It was nice.

Good luck.

I've seen some of the Charlie guys out there....man, it's got to suck with all this Virginia heat- some of the faces of ya'll when I drive past when ya'll are doing those wonderful humps- geeeeez...ya'll look miserable. I generally open up my windows and blast the ac in hopes ya'll get a glimpse of the coolness breeze! :)

The only thing that compares is seeing Whiting Field/Pensacola in your rearview mirror!

I hate to piss in the Wheaties, but that seems quite communist to me. Ah the joy of government schools.:(

It isn't communist at all. It's to get little kindergartners to STFU and stay in line instead of bitching and whining at the teacher about how they "Don wanna color! WHAAAAAA!"

As I recall, many children at that age have no respect (concept???) for authority but that which comes from their parents.

I suppose learning to share in pre-school will yield a bunch of communists in the future as well, so we should do away with that. We should probably remove ant farms from grade school science class as well, just in case the drone mentality rubs off on the children. Just to be safe.
